RFG seeks new Development Executive

Job Vacancy - Development Executive

As part of its work of influencing rail freight policy and providing services to its members, RFG seeks a capable and enthusiastic person to monitor developments affecting rail freight, in Government, ORR, media, European Commission, RFG members and elsewhere, and prepare policy papers or responses on current issues of concern to members.

The work would also include co-ordinating various RFG special interest meetings, managing RFG’s websites, contributing to the bi-monthly RFG News and other journals and assisting in other ways to support members services and interests.

Attributes should include excellent communications skills, a degree or post graduate qualification in economics or related subjects, and two years minimum experience in a relevant transport business.  The successful candidate must be computer literate, and a fast accurate worker with good time management and organizational skills.

The post would be would be full time based in London SW1 in a small friendly office, with some UK travelling required. Salary around £27k negotiable.
